Down the Backroads of Yesterday: Folklore History & Tradition as seen through the eyes of Bob Smith

Bob Smith is a newspaper publisher, storyteller, historian, poet, songwriter, tourism promoter and backwoods philosopher.

Bob’s short stories and tales have been featured in the Three Forks Tradition Newspapers for nearly thirty years under, “Down the Backroads of Yesterday” and the Kentucky Explorer magazine for nearly that long. In his stories he tries to give his readers an insight to the traditions of Appalachia and an occasional glimpse into life in the Three Forks area as it was experienced in the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s.
